Remove that plug and align the pointer to the mark on the drive with the crank indicator and the specified number of degrees BTDC Piston at tdc idler gear mark at the cam gear, and sensor pin visible, you should be good to align the cam gear mark

When the cover is off loosen the 3 bolts and line the marks up in the peep hole by turning the gear. NOW, if you want to verify that the pump is actually pumping fuel, take the bolts out on hub, remove number one line from pump, maybe number six also, and with throttle lever pulled to full speed, turn the pump with a socket and ratchet.. If you timed the pump to the pointer it should be close to right or it could be 180 degrees off.
